PowerGrid Corporation of India Ltd. as the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) has been designated as the Nodal Agency for grant of Connectivity, Long-Term Access and Medium-Term Open Access to the inter-State transmission system as per the regulation 4 of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Grant of Connectivity, Long-term Access and Medium-term Open Access in inter-State transmission and related matters) Regulations, 2009.

Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from potential Solar and Wind energy zones in Western Region  was discussed and agreed in the in the 1st WRSCT meeting held on 05.09.2018. Subsequently a petition was filed to CERC for grant of regulatory approval for execution of the above transmission system. The details of the scheme, its justification, estimated cost and its tariff impact, results of the system studies, study assumptions, stakeholder consultation/approval details etc. are attached for your observations, if any latest by 07.06.19  at mail ids psdas@powergridindia.com; pratyush.singh@powergridindia.com

2. TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR SOLAR ENERGY ZONES IN RAJASTHAN

Transmission System for Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan was discussed and agreed in the 2nd NR SCT meeting held on 13.11.18. Subsequently a petition was filed to CERC for grant of regulatory approval for execution of the transmission system for Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan. The details of the scheme, its justification, estimated cost and its tariff impact, results of the system studies, study assumptions, stakeholder consultation/approval details etc. are attached for your observations, if any latest by 07.06.19  at mail ids rverma@powergridindia.com; yvmsprakash@powergridindia.com

3. Draft Template for providing additional data for Solar PV and Wind Generating Stations as a Part of FORMAT-CON-4

In line with the Detailed Procedure of Central Transmission Utility under Regulation 27 of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Grant of Connectivity, Long-term Access and Medium-term Open Access in Inter-State Transmission and related matters) Regulations, 2009, Connectivity Grantee needs to furnish additional information in the FORMAT-CON-4 to CTU for signing of Connection Agreement before getting connected to ISTS. In this regard, draft templates have been prepared for furnishing of data by Solar PV and Wind Generating Station which can be accessed vide the links given below:

Comments and suggested modifications (if any) towards finalization of the templates may be furnished by 07.06.2019 to the following email ids: psdas@powergridindia.com; bhaskarwagh@powergridindia.com. After that, this finalized template shall be made as a part of FORMAT-CON-4.

  • Facility for online submission of digitally signed applications and uploading of all relevant documents (without submission of physical documents) together with one-time revert facility for rectification of deficiencies has been extended to Connectivity/LTA/MTOA application w.e.f. 01.05.2019.
  • Online facility for submission of progress report of Stage-I/Stage-II grantees for Renewable Projects has been made available on CTU website. Stage-I/Stage-II grantees are requested to submit the progress report through online portal only and no physical status reports shall be accepted.
